IMMIGRATION ATTORNEY

I founded Eitzen Immigration Law to provide personalized, high quality legal representation. I enjoy collaborating with clients to find the best solution to fulfill their goals and seeing this lead to the growth of opportunities for their families. It is important to me that my clients are empowered by understanding the options and process in their case.

Since 2005, I have exclusively practiced immigration law. I have spent most of my career serving the community at non-profit organizations, including as the Legal Director at New Mexico Immigrant Law Center. Before founding Eitzen Immigration Law, I represented diverse clients at one of the leading immigration law firms in New Mexico. I have extensive experience before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the immigration courts, and the Board of Immigration Appeals.

Throughout my career, I have been a leader in the immigration law community. I recently served as the Chair of the Immigration Law Section of the New Mexico State Bar, and I regularly present trainings for attorneys and community organizations. I prioritize keeping up with the latest trends in immigration law to make sure that I am providing the best possible representation to my clients. I graduated in the top ten percent of my class from Georgetown University Law Center, which is consistently ranked as one of the top law schools in the United States. While I was in law school, I had a prestigious internship at the immigration court in Arlington, Virginia

Being an immigration attorney is more than just a job for me. Growing up, I saw my mother, who was new to being a single mom, being taken advantage of by a lawyer who made big promises and charged a lot of money, but never delivered. When I was in law school, I was shocked at the number of immigrants who spent a hefty fee to hire an attorney, but who received extremely poor representation. I was determined to do better, and it has been my guiding principle to always offer my clients the best representation that I can provide.
